We were over the moon to recieve a brief from Daisy Nook Garden Centre regarding their bus advertising! We've recently completed a series of single and double decker bus designs for the garden centre, so keep your eyes peeled to see if you can spot one whilst you're out and about!

The buses are on routes in Oldham, Ashton, Manchester and Saddleworth!

Nicola Hill

We welcome Nicola to cornerstone!

We give a warm welcome to Nicola Hill, the latest recruit at cornerstone design & marketing. Nicola joins us after successfully graduating from Huddersfield University with a degree in graphic design.

Nicola brings another creative eye to our client campaigns and will further strengthen our creative team. Since starting at cornerstone, we've found Nicola to be a 'dab hand' with illustration and stationery, providing some striking and effective projects within her first month of employment.

Cornerstone are pleased to announce the launch of the new DB Refurb residential website, which has been developed to reach residential home owners within the Manchester & Stockport area, searching for a professional construction company to carry out building works to their home.

The site is the second produced for DB Refurb’s Managing Director, who also commissioned Cornerstone to develop a website for another of his business ventures. He comments “This is the 2nd excellent website Cornerstone have designed and built for me. Frankly I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.”

Following a successful series of lectures throughout 2009, Cornerstone’s Managing Director David Wadsworth has returned to the University of Huddersfield to give a lecture on Creativity in Advertising, and outline where differences lie between the theory and practice of putting together a real life marketing campaign.
 
Senior lecturer Denis Feather states “We’ve asked David to return to the Business School this year as a real life approach to marketing and advertising is a real eye opener for students, and valuable in their understanding of how the theory is put into practice. We’ll certainly be asking him to return to lecture next year's students on a similar topic.”

Sarah Smethurst has now joined the team at Cornerstone in a full time position and will take up the role of lead graphic designer. Sarah has experience in creative graphic design and art, and has worked for Cornerstone on a part time basis for over two years. We’re excited about Sarah’s appointment and are confident that this addition to our team will further strengthen the quality of creative and graphic design work provided by Cornerstone design and marketing. Cornerstone are proud to announce the launch of the new Salon Chic website. Salon Chic is a hair care & straightening brand supplied throughout the UK by toiletries and cosmetics company fmcg. The site has been developed as a cost effective solution to getting the brand online and seen by its target audience.

The site is planned to grow with the brand over the coming years and has been used as a benchmark for the proposed new salon chic packaging, which will be hitting shelves in 2010!

Willow Technology receive a new brand

Cornerstone are pleased to launch the new Willow Technology brand identity. Willow Technology are a new start up laboratory based in Whitefield Manchester. The lab specializes in innovative formulations for the beauty and cosmetics industry, and aims to help manufacturers develop products that are unique within the marketplace.

The next stage of the project is to carry the new brand image across all corporate literature, as well as a corporate website which will aim to drive traffic through search engine optimization.

Cornerstone move into new premises

Cornerstone have now taken the decision to move into bigger and better premises due to our ever growing client base. Our new office space encompasses a dedicated design studio, a meeting area and an in house photography studio, ideal for product photography. The move will build upon our high levels of service and will allow our team to grow with our expanding client base.

Cornerstone launch the Logbook Loan Shop website!

Cornerstone have recently launched Logbook Loan Shop’s website, which is targeted at the greater Manchester area, providing cash loans from £300 - £5000 to people owning a car who need a short term cash loan fast.

The site was developed using HTML, and conforms to current web standards, whilst also being optimised for search engine rankings. We not only created the website, the brand image was created and developed by Cornerstone into the above logo.

Noho Website Design and Development

Cornerstone works with the new kid on the Nothern Quarter block!

Cornerstone have teamed up with NOHO - a new bar in Manchester's Northern Quarter to deliver a new website that places them at the forefront of the Manchester bar scene.

The site was developed using HTML, and made extensive use of the latest JavaScript libraries such as JQuery and conforms to current web standards. The site was also built with Search Engine Optimisation in mind to maximise their exposure.

Rosa Homes launch new home buyer welcome pack

March 2009

Rosa Homes have recently launched a new welcome pack for new home buyers which is aimed at providing in depth information about the house they have bought, whilst also highlighting key areas and helpful tips and advice in order to make settling in that little bit easier. The pack also contains gift items to add character to the housing assocations image, through the use of items such as a pack of seeds for their new garden, new home planner and branded pen.

Rosa homes are part of Chevin Housing association which serves primarily the Yorkshire region. They offer affordable housing to those that otherwise would struggle to buy their own home. The launch of the new welcome pack has aided their communications to buyers, and helped build a stronger relationship, which has been said to improve positive word of mouth and therefore increased interest in these schemes that help improve peoples lives.

Cornerstone were involved in the concept and design of the welcome pack, which has so far been deemed a success by all at Rosa Homes. The packs complement the current literature, and continue to build a stronger brand image that is professional whilst also achieving innovation and creativity to give it additional character and appeal.

Cornerstone celebrates its first birthday

For many of you that have been with us since the start, you'll know that December 2008 marks our first birthday. We're still only a very young company but have expanded rapidly over the past year, improving every service dramatically to make sure our clients get the best possible results for their money. This has been thanks to an open dialogue with our client base, and one which we hope to maintain.

We're looking forward to the next year of Cornerstone's development, and have marked our birthday with the launch of our new website. The coming year has many exciting things in store, and we hope you enjoy the journey as much as we do!

Cornerstone support local charity

September 2008

Cornerstone have recently offered their support free of charge to The Laura Crane Trust, a charity set up to care for teenage cancer sufferers. Initially Cornerstone will be helping the charity with their brochure work which goes out to their supporters, as well as teenagers and young adults suffering from cancer. The long term plan in helping the Laura Crane trust will be to support the launch of a new chat site specially designed for teenage cancer patients called "Chat World". Alongside this, Cornerstone is also supporting the charity's gift giving scheme G4; a project which ensures patients in hospital over Christmas are made to feel at home as much as possible over the holiday period. Cornerstone develop Rosa Homes press adverts

Cornerstone design & marketing have recently undertaken the complete re-design of the Rosa Homes press adverts and promotional materials. The new adverts aim to build on the current Rosa Homes brand, making it a better known name in the Yorkshire region whilst effectively communicating the benefits of shared ownership housing. The new press adverts have been developed specifically to appeal to certain lifestyle segments who are likely to purchase individual developments. This has been achieved through the use of market research and competitor analysis prior to the campaign going ahead, which so far has ensured a successful transition.

Saddleworth Brewery Commission Cornerstone to re-design pump clips

January 2008

In November 2007, Cornerstone received a brief from Saddleworth Brewery, a local brewery servicing the Lancashire and Yorkshire areas. The brief was to create a uniform design that could then have each brew’s “brand personality” incorporated into it. With the project now complete, Cornerstone and Saddleworth brewery are more than happy with the results. “This has created a brand that will become well known and loved, making our brews more competitive at the point of sale”, says Christine Taylor of Saddleworth Brewery. “..we’ve been wanting to carry out this project for years, and finding Cornerstone has been a God send in helping us achieve a strong brand identity.”
